Center Harbor also hosts an annual Parade, Foot Race and Fireworks Display on July 4th.
Lake Cruises and Tours
The MS Mount Washington Center Harbor boarding dock is within blocks of the B&B. Many find her to be a great way to see and get a sense of the size of the lake and variety of coves, islands, and cottages.
Trexler's Marina offers boat rentals for personal cruising and touring.
The next town to the South, Meredith, is home to many fine shops and restaurants as well as the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad and the par 72, 67.4/117 Waukewan Golf Course.
Castle Spring - The Castle in the Clouds
The 'Kona' sculpture fountain In the middle of Center Harbor was a gift of Thomas Plant, a shoe factory tycoon at the turn of the century. Plant had built a landmark estate on the side of the Ossipee range 5 miles to the North in Moultonboro. The estate is open for fascinating tours of a different era, horseback riding, and nature walks.
On your way back, be sure to visit the Loon Center on the lake in Moultonboro to learn more about this cherished 'voice of the wild'.
